Für Call of Duty: Ghosts steht ein neues Update zur Verfügung und zwar für PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U und PC. Nach der Installation des Patches wird die Multiplayer-Karte "Free Fall" für alle Spieler freigeschaltet - bisher hatten nur Vorbesteller und Season-Pass-Besitzer Zugriff auf diese Karte. Ansonsten wird das Anti-Cheat-Tool aktualisiert, Probleme im eSport-Bereich behoben und diverse Bugs behoben. Außerdem wurde der Extinction-Modus mit einem Casual-Modus für Local- und Solo-Matches und einem Hardcore-Modus für Local, Solo und Custom Matches für "Point of Contact" und "Nightfall" ergänzt.
