Im nordamerikanischen PlayStation Store (PSN) wird Demon's Souls als Download ab dem kommenden Dienstag für 19,99 Dollar zur Verfügung stehen. Mittlerweile hat auch Namco Bandai gegenüber Joystiq bestätigt, dass das Spiel ebenfalls im europäischen PlayStation Store als Download veröffentlicht wird und zwar am 23. Januar 2012. Im gleichen Atemzug erklärte der Publisher, dass die Euro-Server des Spiels weiterhin online bleiben sollen.
"Namco says the game's European servers are staying online, so be sure to look out for messages telling you it's safe ahead when in fact there's a big, fat soul-loving spider who missed both breakfast and lunch and isn't really dealing with it well. "
